HAMP CREW PARENTS & FAMILIES

Parents play a key role in the operations of Hamp Crew. Without your support and involvement we could not provide the quality programming that we strive for. When you register your rower you will be asked about your volunteering preference. This is to help us identify the parents willing to volunteer for each activity. We understand that this is a larger commitment then any other sport you may have been involved in in the past but Crew is a unique sport requiring unique funding and operations. If you can not commit to any of our events there are other roles that we need filled. Please click here for more on volunteering.

So here is exactly what we expect from our Hamp Crew Parents:

  • Register your rower on time with all the appropriate forms and fees. Rowers with out complete registrations will not be allowed on the water. Remember ALL rowers must have a physical on file at either NHS or Williston for Spring and Fall seasons.
  • Confirm that your rower will be able to attend regatta's and events. If you know that your rower will miss an event please inform their coach as soon as possible.
  • Volunteer at one fundraiser or event per season. Make sure the event organizer knows you have volunteered so we can give you credit where credit's due.
  • Provide or arrange transportation for your rower to all regattas and events.
  • Provide food for your rower for regattas or sign up for the food table. Manning the food table is not considered volunteering for and event.
  • Communicate with your rowers coach or the head coach any concerns you may have. As well let them know when you think they are doing a good job. Our coaches want nothing but the best for each of their rowers.
