Learn To Row

Have you always wanted to try rowing? Now's your chance!
NYCRI offers adult (masters) programs throughout the spring and summer to introduce
people to the fun of on-the-water, team rowing. We utilize our 4 and 8 person boats
to introduce you to the rowing stroke, terminology, boat safety, and boat handling skills.

Adult Learn to Row 1
Our learn to row class will introduce you to the basics of the sport of rowing. The focus will be on learning water safety, rowing technique, and terminology. Participants will be introduced to the NYCRI boathouse, waterfront, and the rowing community. Rowers will leave with a solid foundation of the rowing sequence and be ready to implement it in their next phase of learning.
