1/12/10 - 4TH ANNUAL WINE TASTING Please join us for our 4th Annual Wine Tasting on January 31, 2010. It will be held at the Sierra Grille on Strong Avenue, Northampton from 3 to 5 pm. We will be holding a silent auction featuring products and services from local businesses. Tickets will be $25 per person, and will be available for advance purchase, as well as at the door. 11/2/09 - FALL BANQUET DATE ANNOUNCED The Hamp Crew Fall Banquet will be held on Tuesday, November 10, at 6:30 PM at the Northampton High School Cafeteria. Details will be forthcoming about food sign-ups for the potluck reception afterward.

10/26/09 - PRACTICE CANCELED DUE TO FLOODING. We have to cancel practice today due to flooding around the boathouse. Tomorrow should be scheduled as planned unless rowers are notified otherwise.

10/25/09 - Hamp Crew's Masters 4+ takes THIRD PLACE at Head of the Fish Muddy, but without rain, thunder or lightening, the Masters events commenced Sunday morning for the 2009 version of the Head of the Fish. Behind excellent direction from former Smith cox Mandi Taus, stroke Deb Miller, followed by Carol MacColl, Mary Ellen Shea and Sally Linowski, passed three boats on their way to the third place finish. Sixteen boats competed in the 4+ race. The four rowers were back on the water within an hour, joining their other teammates in the eight. Feeling stronger all season, it was nice for the team to bring home some bling!

10/13/09 - Hamp Crew to Compete in Head of the Charles
Northampton Youth and Community Rowing will be represented by a Men’s Varsity 8+ shell to compete in the high school races in the Head of the Charles in Boston on Sunday, October 18. The Head of the Charles in the largest two-day rowing regatta in the world, with teams from across the U.S, a well as international entries.
Rowers selected to row in the Head of the Charles include; Alex Pileski, Aaron Doucett, Simon Ross, John Wolfe, Corey Wilga, Harrison Drouin Reed, Max Krogius, Jacob Winniman and coxswain Katherine McKemmie.

10/08/09 - RENT-A-ROWER IS COMING! This Fall's Rent-A-Rower fundraiser will be held November 7th and 8th. More details will be posted, as they become available.

09/14/09 - FALL 2009 PARENTS' MEETING is this Wednesday, Sept. 16th, from 6:00 - 7:PM at Northampton High School, in the cafeteria.
REGATTA CHANGE; Hamp Crew will not be participating in the Head of the Housatonic Regatta on October 10th; INSTEAD we will be participating in the Head of the Connecticut, on OCTOBER 11TH, 2009. The currently posted Fall 2009 Regatta Schedule reflects this change, and the completed Head of the Connecticut page will be posted by the end of this week.

09/08/09 - REMINDER: Coach Brandon is holding an Informational Meeting tomorrow in Hamp High's Little Theatre at 2:15 to recruit Novice Rowers. Please encourage attendance!

08/24/09 - HAMP CREW IS RECRUITING!!!
On Wednesday, Sept. 9th, Hamp Crew's Interim Head Coach, Brandon Milardo, will be holding an Informational Meeting in the Northampton High School Little Theatre, from 2:15 - 3:15 PM. Please help us to recruit and encourage any potential novices to attend!!!

08/17/09 - FALL 2009 START DATE IS AUGUST 24TH!!
Varsity practice will start on Monday, Aug. 24, at 3:30PM (4:PM for Boys' Varsity FIRST WEEK ONLY)
Novice practice will start on Monday, Sept. 14, also at 3:30PM
Williston Varsity will start practice on Tuesday, Sept. 8th. Williston Novice will start practice on Tuesday, Sept. 15th.
